Smart not hard... Simple?

"I don't exactly get what you do..." the wise words of my husband, and I'm sure many a person who knows a marketer. Well, if I am being honest, me neither! But, it's lots of fun and I totally get paid to do it.

Marketing can be a black hole for many who would rather throw their arms in the air and do something 'more productive' with their time. I totally get it, spending hours penning a post for Facebook or creating an ad to share across digital platforms can seem like sitting through a scene from Gone With the Wind (trust me when I tell you it's a long film). But what people fail to realize is that simple marketing practices can be applied to your small business that are effective and NOT time consuming.

Scheduling, heard of it? It's something that all Soccer Mums run on. If you fail to plan, you plan to fail! Set a couple of hours aside, once a fortnight, once a month - whatever you can manage, and create some content for your socials! Yes, many will argue that by scheduling your engagement with your audience your reach wont be as high... and those people would be totally correct annnddd also not running a small business that pulls you in every direction.

Look at it this way.... I rather you schedule a post than post nothing at all! Because when people do come to visit your social media i.e. - potentially your major place of advertising for your business, having quality content that you have thought about, sat down and planned, is better than a terrible post with spelling mistakes that you wrote waiting in the self check out at Coles.

OR, even worse... having nothing at all.
